WDGC DJs Eareen Yambao and Shane Gustafson were honored today at the John Drury High School Radio Awards hosted by North Central College.
Shane was recognized as one of the top five high school sportscasters in the nation, facing competition from as far away as Michigan and Connecticut. Shane had submitted a segment of his broadcast of last year's football game against Glenbard West.
Eareen received the third place award for his public service announcement. The 1:00 psa centered on the problem of distracted driving among teenagers and featured two girls having a contest about who could do the most things while driving.
